The annual Harvest Festival and “Tales of Horror” will be presented to the general public starting at 5 p.m. Thursday at Harmony Magnet Academy at 19429 Road 228 in Strathmore.
The Harvest Festival runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes food and game booths sponsored by various clubs at Harmony Magnet Academy and Strathmore High School. Tickets for the booths will be available for 50 cents each.
A “Spookgetti” dinner is also available for purchase from the Strathmore Band Boosters for $7 a plate. The dinner includes spaghetti, with meat or vegetarian sauce, salad, roll and a drink.
“Tales of Horror” is an annual Halloween-themed presentation that runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and includes performances by the choir, dance and theater arts classes.
Tickets for the performance are $2 for adults and $1 for students. Children age 5 and younger will be admitted free.
The Harvest Festival and “Tales of Horror” is an interdisciplinary project of the Academy of Performing Arts. Many student groups and classes participate in the event, which helps to illustrate to students the interconnectedness of all subject areas.
