Monache senior opposite hitter Brooklyn Beavers was the only player from the Orange Belt selected for the first-team EYL roster. Beavers had 71 kills this year for the Marauders, boasting a 36.2 kill shot percentage, according to MaxPreps.com.
Bryn Short, a sophomore middle blocker for Monache, was selected for the second team. Short tallied 72 kills, 51 points and connected on 38 percent of her kill shots this year.
In the ESL, Lindsay’s Adrianna Gutierrez, Strathmore’s Vanessa Lopez and Granite Hills’ Sarah Vehrs all made the first team.
Gutierrez led the Cardinals in kills with 73 on the year, and Lopez led the Spartans in kills and aces, recording 35.
Making the second-team ESL roster from the Orange Belt were Josie Lopez from Strathmore and Brittney Wynn of Granite Hills. Strathmore’s Kandyce Gurrola and Callie Albison were honorable mentions.
